CO-WORKING
Co-working
Creating a space for side-by-side working, where people can be supported and encouraged to achieve their dreams.
MakerLife Ashford’s Co-Working strand will provide much more than ‘passive’ services.
Co-working can simply be a place where workers of different businesses share a work space or building, allowing cost savings and convenience. In the long-run these arrangements may be economically efficient but don’t proactively build relationships – which we think is one of the keys to thriving.
MakerLife Ashford’s Co-Working strand will aim to provide much more than ‘passive’ services. Our goal is to create places where people are supported and encouraged to achieve their dreams. As part of this we plan to repurpose redundant or temporarily empty buildings, as ‘business incubators’ and accelerators. These will incorporate advice, guidance and various forms of support for new and emerging enterprises.
Working alongside the Co-Learning strand there will be a range of development pathways, working in partnership with other local businesses to create a vibrant and flourishing environment for people’s abilities and talents to blossom. We will incorporate a Maker-Space facility equipped with tools and technology; mentors and guides; access to business ‘angels’ and investment and support for developing business plans.
